New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Sunday that the state government is preparing the national capital’s judicial system for the future with the vision of combining the talent of the new generation with modern judicial infrastructure.

After interacting with young participants at a competition organised at Delhi’s National Law University, the Chief Minister in a post on social media platform X said, “Today, I engaged in a dialogue with young colleagues at the closing ceremony of the first National Trial Advocacy Competition, organised with the support of Think India at the National Law University in Delhi. India’s tradition of justice has always accorded primacy to reason, sanctity to the Constitution, and the highest place to justice.”

“This legacy will be further strengthened by the talent of the new generation combined with modern judicial infrastructure. The Delhi government is preparing the national capital’s judicial system for the future with this very vision. Heartiest congratulations to all participants and winners, and best wishes for a bright future,” she added.

Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister Gupta joined the Teej celebrations at the Delhi Haat in Pitampura, shared the festive joy with the women and extended her greetings to them on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that Hariyali Teej was not merely a festival, but a celebration of faith, love, nature and women’s power.

“Amid the greenery of the monsoon and the colours of the festivities, the festival offers an opportunity to remember the sacred story of the enduring love and reunion of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.”

She added that such festivals not only keep cultural traditions alive but also strengthen love, harmony and a sense of togetherness in society.

Chief Minister Gupta said the Delhi government is making efforts to continuously promote such cultural platforms in the national capital where folk traditions and art can be passed on to the younger generation while also providing artists and craftspeople an opportunity to showcase their talent.

The two-day Teej festival, organised by the Delhi Tourism Department on August 8 and 9 at Delhi Haat in Pitampura, featured competitions for women, including mehendi, bindi, rangoli, ‘Teej Queen-Miss Teej 2026’ and Best Dress Female.
