President Droupadi Murmu has returned to New Delhi after completing her official visits to Moldova, North Macedonia, and Romania. In Romania, she engaged in discussions with President Nicusor Dan to enhance bilateral cooperation and address global issues. The visit included the signing of agreements in areas such as science, sports, and the establishment of an Indian Studies Chair at the University of Bucharest.
During her historic visit to Romania, President Murmu was warmly welcomed by President Dan at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest. The leaders held extensive talks on strengthening the India-Romania partnership and exchanged views on regional and global developments. This visit marked the first State Visit by an Indian President to Romania in nearly thirty years.
In North Macedonia, President Murmu met with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski to bolster bilateral ties across various sectors. Her visit to Moldova, the initial stop on her tour, included meetings with Moldovan officials to foster a stronger partnership between the two countries. President Murmu expressed optimism about the future collaboration between India and Moldova during her visit to Chisinau.
