President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar on Tuesday during her official visit to Gujarat. The tribute was part of the ‘Samajik Samrasta Mahotsava’ organized to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti, with attendees from various administrative and social sectors. Senior dignitaries honored Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait, acknowledging his significant contributions to constitutional values and social justice.
President Murmu’s visit includes presiding over the fifth convocation ceremony of Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar. The event will see the conferment of degrees on students from campuses nationwide. State leaders, including the Governor and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, are expected to attend the convocation.
