President Droupadi Murmu engaged with the Indian community in Moldova, including students, acknowledging their contribution to fostering friendship between the two nations. President Murmu participated in a banquet hosted by Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Chisinau before departing for North Macedonia. President Sandu praised India as the world’s largest democracy and a significant ally during President Murmu’s State Visit. She emphasized the importance of the India-Moldova relationship, based on shared values of freedom and dignity.
During a joint press conference, President Sandu expressed Moldova’s commitment to cooperation and a reliable partnership with India. She emphasized the common democratic values that unite the two nations and the mutual dedication to the well-being of their people. President Murmu’s visit to Moldova is part of a three-nation tour, with upcoming visits to North Macedonia and Romania for further diplomatic engagements.
