President Droupadi Murmu congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. She praised his 12-year tenure, highlighting advancements in governance, economic resilience, and social transformation. President Murmu commended PM Modi’s welfare initiatives for their inclusive reach and adherence to the principles of Antyodaya.
In her message, President Murmu specifically mentioned the PM-JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan initiatives as significant achievements under PM Modi’s leadership. She expressed confidence in India’s democratic traditions and wished for the Prime Minister’s continued good health and service towards the vision of Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
PM Modi surpassed Jawaharlal Nehru’s record with 4,399 days in office as an elected Prime Minister. Nehru’s tenure from 1952 onwards was considered for comparison, with PM Modi now holding the title of the longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history.
