President Murmu Emphasizes Role of Central Tribal University in Andhra Pradesh

President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the significant responsibilities of the Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh during its first convocation ceremony in Vizianagaram. She stressed the university’s role in nurturing self-confidence, leadership, and policy-making skills among tribal communities. President Murmu urged institutions like this to focus on education, health, skill development, livelihoods, and forest rights at the grassroots level.

The President expressed optimism that the university would contribute to the comprehensive development of marginalized youth and tribal communities in the region. She underscored the importance of innovative approaches in Tribal Universities to enhance the livelihoods of tribal populations, promoting activities like forest produce, handicrafts, and eco-tourism. President Murmu also encouraged students to prioritize skill development to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

President Murmu emphasized the need for students to go beyond theoretical learning and acquire practical skills from their surroundings. She urged them to contribute to society while preserving their community, culture, and traditions. The President highlighted the university’s efforts in areas such as tribal welfare, public health, and energy conservation, aiming to foster an equitable and developed India.
