President Droupadi Murmu will commence the 16th National Voters’ Day celebrations by distributing Electors Photo Identity Cards to newly-enrolled young voters. The theme for this year’s event is ‘My India, My Vote’ with the tagline, “Citizen at the Heart of Indian Democracy.” Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will be the Guest of Honour at the function where Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will lead the event.
President Murmu will present Best Electoral Practices Awards in various categories during the event, including the effective use of technology and voter awareness. The day will witness the launch of two publications, highlighting electoral initiatives and the successful Bihar General Elections. An exhibition showcasing election processes and recent ECI initiatives will also be featured.
National Voters’ Day celebrations will occur nationwide at State and District levels, organized by Chief Electoral Officers and District Election Officers. Booth Level Officers will host events at polling stations to honor new voters and distribute EPICs to the electors.
