President Urges IAS Officers to Prioritize “Nation First” for Development Goals

President Droupadi Murmu addressed Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, emphasizing the importance of the spirit of “Nation First” in driving development outcomes for “Viksit Bharat@2047.” She highlighted that every decision made by the officers should align with the vision of building a developed India by 2047.

President Murmu stressed that IAS officers are now responsible for upholding governance standards at a national level, beyond regional interests. She emphasized the need for their professionalism, coordination, and commitment to ensure development and maintain high public service standards.

The President urged the officers to implement policies effectively to meet the needs of the people, emphasizing the significance of their experience and the guiding principle of “Nation First” in tackling complex challenges. She emphasized the importance of collaboration to enhance institutional coherence and governance machinery.

President Murmu called on IAS officers to focus on inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits of India’s transformation reach the most vulnerable sections of society. She also highlighted the officers’ role in promoting sustainability, climate resilience, and sustainable development for future generations.
