The prime accused in the viral obscene video case from Bihar’s Gaya district, identified as Rehan, surrendered at the Phulwari Sharif Police Station in Patna after evading arrest for several days. Rehan decided to surrender due to intense police pressure and continuous raids by the investigating team.
A team from the Gaya Police is on its way to Patna to take Rehan into transit custody and return him to Gaya for further legal proceedings. The case gained attention after an allegedly obscene video involving a young woman from the Banke Bazar area circulated on social media.
The victim’s brother filed an FIR against Rehan at the Banke Bazar Police Station, leading to an extensive search operation by the police. Magadh Range Inspector General Vikas Vaibhav emphasized that strict legal action awaits those involved in crimes against women, ensuring justice according to the law.
Police officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further legal steps will be based on collected evidence. The police aim for a swift trial to ensure appropriate punishment as per the court’s decision.
