Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting will focus on ‘Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047’, emphasizing the well-being and development of all Indians, irrespective of age, region, gender, or socio-economic status. Chief Ministers and Lt Governors will convene to discuss strategies for achieving this vision and translating it into tangible outcomes nationwide.
The meeting will center on the Inclusive Human Development Framework, based on four key pillars: foundational human capital and future-ready skills, productive employment, entrepreneurship and decentralized growth, health, nutrition, and well-being, and equity and dignity for all. Discussions will cover initiatives to boost entrepreneurship, enhance skilling, and create sustainable job opportunities across the country.
Key discussions will revolve around devising an implementation roadmap that utilizes governance, digital public infrastructure (DPI), convergence, partnerships, and data-driven systems. The focus will be on aligning state visions with the National Vision on Inclusive Human Development to foster unified and sustainable growth. Additionally, the meeting will address recommendations from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025, covering themes like early childhood education, skilling, and higher education.
The 11th Governing Council Meeting will see the participation of Chief Ministers, Lt Governors/Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers, and other officials. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has arrived in Delhi for the meeting, where he is expected to present the state’s priorities and concerns. Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has also confirmed his active participation, focusing on issues concerning Karnataka’s interests and development.
