Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate 13 redeveloped railway stations in Madhya Pradesh, providing modern amenities for passengers. These stations are part of the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ that aims to upgrade 75 railway stations nationwide. The redevelopment includes features like modern buildings, clean restrooms, digital information systems, and enhanced security measures.
State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed excitement about the inauguration of the Tikamgarh Railway Station under the scheme. The selected stations in Madhya Pradesh, such as Vidisha, Sanchi, and Chhindwara, have been transformed into world-class facilities. Passengers will now enjoy improved facilities like spacious waiting halls, better connectivity, and accessibility features for all travelers.
The upgraded stations also incorporate local culture and heritage, reflecting the unique identity of each region. For example, Sanchi station showcases its Buddhist heritage, while Vidisha station highlights its historical significance. The initiative not only enhances passenger experience but also boosts local economy by promoting the sale of local products and creating new job opportunities.
