Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Australia from July 8 to 10 at the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The visit aims to boost the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During his trip, Prime Minister Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Albanese in Melbourne. He will also attend the India-Australia CEOs Forum, address business leaders from both nations, and speak to the Indian diaspora in Melbourne.
Australian Prime Minister Albanese highlighted India’s importance as a key economic partner and emphasized the strategic value of the bilateral relationship. He expressed anticipation for the Annual Leaders’ Summit with Prime Minister Modi, underscoring the significance of the Australia-India partnership.
The visit signifies the deepening ties between India and Australia across various sectors such as trade, defence, security, technology, clean energy, education, and people-to-people connections. The partnership, elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2020, reflects the broad-based collaboration between the two countries.
