Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, participating in traditional rituals and seeking blessings from Lord Shiva. Welcomed with ‘Damru beats’ and ‘shanknaad’, he performed rituals like ‘arti’ and ‘Abhishek’ and received gifts of a ‘Trishul’ and ‘Damru’. The crowd cheered as he interacted with them, spreading joy among children who greeted him enthusiastically.
In addition to his temple visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, costing Rs 36,230 crore. This 594-kilometre-long corridor, spanning 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh, aims to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce travel time significantly. The project includes an Emergency Landing Facility in Shahjahanpur, adding strategic value beyond economic benefits.
The Ganga Expressway is designed to boost economic growth by improving logistics, supply chain efficiency, and manufacturing competitiveness. It is expected to benefit farmers by providing better market access and strengthening rural incomes. Furthermore, the expressway will stimulate tourism, create job opportunities, and contribute to balanced regional development in Uttar Pradesh.
