Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up his Gujarat visit with a grand roadshow in Vadodara, the final public event of the day. The day’s schedule also included visits to the Somnath Temple and participation in Sardardham initiatives. Earlier, he attended commemorative events at the Somnath Temple related to its historical reconstruction.
In Vadodara, the Prime Minister inaugurated Sardar Dham Bhavan-3, virtually laid the foundation stone for Dharmshi Harji Mordiya Girls Chhatralaya Phase-2, and launched the Sardar Dham Education Support Yojana worth Rs 500 crore. The day culminated in a large public roadshow in Vadodara, attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and other state leaders, including BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
The roadshow, spanning about 1.5 kilometers from Gada Circle to the Old Airport gate, showcased 16 specially decorated stages arranged by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation and administrative bodies. The event, themed “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” attracted large crowds along the route who came to greet the Prime Minister.
Local dignitaries welcomed Modi at Gada Circle to kick off the roadshow, which featured various cultural displays. The program included traditional Gujarati Garba performances, dances from different states like Bihu, Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Manipuri, and cultural showcases from Kerala and Odisha.
