Global sensation Priyanka Chopra Jonas gave a peek into her life through a collection of photos on Instagram. The snapshots included her in a scuba diving attire, features in a magazine, scenes from movies like “Hum Aapke Hain Koun…?” and “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” and a video of the late star dancing to a song from “Mr. India.”
Among her posts were glimpses from a visit to a Gurudwara and her engrossed in a book, captioned with “Some here .. some there…”
Currently in Hyderabad for the shooting of “Varanasi,” directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the film also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Priyanka’s film revolves around Rudhra’s adventures as Varanasi faces a looming asteroid threat, spanning various timelines and locations. Rajamouli envisioned the movie as a global journey rooted in Indian culture, drawing from classic adventure cinema’s structure and emotional essence.
The filming extensively took place in Hyderabad, Odisha, and Kenya, with a massive budget of Rs. 1,000–1,300 crore, making it one of India’s costliest films. “Varanasi” is slated for a theatrical release in April 2027.
Additionally, Priyanka has been cast in “Krrish 4,” the latest installment of the popular franchise, which marks Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut.
Priyanka’s acting journey began in 2002 with the Tamil film “Thamizhan,” followed by her Bollywood debut in “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” in 2003. She gained fame with hits like “Andaaz,” “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi,” and her breakthrough role in the romantic thriller “Aitraaz.”
