A well-known civil lawyer, Sanjay Kumar Saxena, aged 57, was fatally shot in broad daylight while en route to the Karera civil court in Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred near Anand Sagar Temple on Siddhan Road, with unidentified assailants firing at him on an isolated stretch. Authorities are treating the incident as a planned murder and are investigating all possible motives, with forensic experts examining the evidence.

Shivpuri District Superintendent of Police, Aman Singh Rathore, stated that the advocate suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital. The legal community in the area has expressed outrage over the attack, viewing it as a direct assault on the profession. Security has been heightened at court premises, and the case has been handed over to the relevant police stations for a thorough investigation.

Family members, including the victim’s brother, Advocate Kuldeep Saxena, have alleged that the murder may be linked to a land dispute. They claim that Sanjay Saxena had recently won a significant property case for a client from Sigdaua village, leading to threats from the opposing party. Despite the warnings, the lawyer continued his work, which the family believes ultimately resulted in his tragic death.

Advocate Kuldeep Saxena has accused individuals from Sigdaua village of orchestrating the murder. The police are exploring all angles of the case, including the family’s claims, to uncover the true motive behind the killing. Whether the incident is tied to a land dispute, political rivalry, or other factors will only be determined following a detailed investigation.
