A protest broke out at an official event in Patna University where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary were attending the inauguration of a new academic building. Students at the venue began chanting slogans against the Chief Minister and other officials, waving black flags and demanding their departure. The President of the Patna University Students’ Union led the protest, expressing discontent over the lack of information provided to students about the event.

The demonstration escalated as students directed slogans specifically at Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Education Minister Sunil Kumar. The protest organizer, Shantanu Shekhar, emphasized his role as the President of the University, stating his intention to voice student concerns. Tensions rose further when security personnel had to intervene to manage the situation as students continued their protest, expressing dissatisfaction with the government and university administration.

Despite the disruptions, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar proceeded with the inauguration ceremony, while police detained several protesting students to restore order at the venue. The incident underscored the unrest among students, reflecting underlying dissatisfaction within the academic community.
