Punjab AAP legislator Kuldeep Dhaliwal expressed disappointment over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the state, labeling it a “flop show.” Dhaliwal criticized Modi’s statements as hollow and misleading to the public.
Dhaliwal directly attacked the BJP, accusing them of stealing donations under the guise of the Ram Mandir construction. He highlighted the Union Government’s withholding of Punjab’s Rural Development Fund and other funds.
The legislator defended Punjab’s development loans, emphasizing that the state’s funds are utilized for public welfare initiatives like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, not for industrialists’ benefit. Dhaliwal also criticized the policy of blending ethanol in petrol, stating it burdens the common people financially.
Questioning the legality of ethanol blending, Dhaliwal pointed out that instead of reducing fuel prices, it has led to further cost hikes. He criticized the policy for favoring select companies at the expense of the general public.
Dhaliwal urged the Prime Minister to address the public regarding the implementation of ethanol blending and its benefits. He also held the BJP responsible for the drug issue in Punjab, emphasizing the need for modern anti-drone systems along the international border to curb smuggling.
The legislator criticized the Union Government’s inaction on farmers’ concerns and flood relief promises. Despite the loss of farmers and pledges for flood victims, no financial aid has been provided by the government to date.
