The Punjab BJP criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, alleging deception in ensuring transparency and honesty in government recruitment exams. Anil Sarin, State General Secretary, highlighted a recent incident where the Punjab Pharmacy Officer Recruitment Examination paper leaked. Sarin pointed out serious security flaws, including the scanning of question papers inside the exam center and the use of Bluetooth devices to relay answers to candidates.
The BJP raised concerns over the government’s failure to prevent such malpractices despite prior intelligence about potential electronic device usage. Sarin emphasized that this incident is part of a series of examination and recruitment controversies under the AAP government. He called for the resignations of Health Minister Balbir Singh and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, attributing moral responsibility for the repeated exam failures to them.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the AAP of attempting to cover up the exam paper leak. Badal highlighted discrepancies in the FIR filed, indicating no recovery of a scanner pen as claimed by the Chief Minister. She asserted that the paper was leaked in advance, with answers being transmitted to students through Bluetooth devices.
