Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar accused a group of controlling the government and engaging in looting activities within the state. Jakhar made these claims while addressing the media before leading a protest at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding the case of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, an Amritsar Divisional Manager who reportedly died by suicide due to distress over corruption allegations involving AAP Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar.
The BJP, along with opposition parties, staged a protest at the Chief Minister’s residence, resulting in arrests by the Chandigarh Police. Plans were also made for statewide protests on March 23 against the government, with State President Jakhar set to participate in a protest in Patiala.
Jakhar criticized the AAP government, stating that they were not only involved in looting but were now also responsible for the deaths of Punjab residents. He accused individuals from Delhi of exploiting and gradually looting Punjab, labeling the government as a burden on the state and calling for the Chief Minister’s resignation.
