Punjab BJP President, Sunil Jakhar, criticized the Bhagwant Mann-led state government for its failure in maintaining law and order and condemned the Chief Minister’s response to the recent bomb blasts. Jakhar called for the Chief Minister to take responsibility for the situation and resign promptly. He expressed concern over the bomb blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar and criticized the Chief Minister’s allegedly politically motivated and irresponsible remarks.
The BJP chief highlighted a series of incidents occurring in Punjab since the AAP government assumed power. He emphasized the seriousness of explosions near BSF and Army establishments, attributing them to the government’s failure. Jakhar pointed out the conflicting statements between the state DGP, who implicated Pakistan’s ISI, and the Chief Minister, who allegedly misled the public with different claims.
Jakhar further criticized the Chief Minister for prioritizing political power over security duties, warning that such actions could jeopardize the state’s safety. He recalled past events, questioning the Chief Minister’s suitability for office since his alleged arrival in the Assembly under the influence. Jakhar emphasized the importance of upholding security over political interests for the well-being of Punjab.
