Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Jalandhar, highlighting it as a significant infrastructure milestone for Punjab. The visit brought projects worth over Rs 5,470 crore, benefiting 12 districts with modern railway stations, new rail services, expressways, and Greenfield highways.
Dhillon emphasized that the impact of the Prime Minister’s visit goes beyond the project value, as it signifies the spread of development across all major regions of Punjab. From Doaba to Majha and Malwa, 12 districts have received infrastructure enhancements that will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, boost trade, and create new investment and job opportunities.
The redevelopment of railway stations in Jalandhar, Mohali, Ropar, and Muktsar Sahib under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, along with other projects like the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the IT City-Kurali Greenfield Highway, will bring about transformative changes in various regions of Punjab. The projects aim to improve connectivity, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen the economy of the state.
Dhillon highlighted that the projects announced during the Prime Minister’s visit will benefit multiple districts in Punjab, showcasing the government’s commitment to development across the state. He praised Prime Minister Modi for prioritizing Punjab’s progress and expressed confidence that these initiatives will pave the way for a brighter future for the state.
