Punjab BJP President Kewal Dhillon emphasized the significant financial assistance Punjab has received from the Modi-led NDA government. He mentioned that Punjab has benefited from over Rs 4.13 lakh crore through various channels like tax devolution, grants, GST compensation, and loans from the Centre. Dhillon highlighted the state’s increasing share in Central taxes under successive Finance Commissions during PM Modi’s tenure.
Dhillon also pointed out key achievements in Punjab, including substantial investments in National Highway projects and railways, as well as funds allocated under schemes like PM-KISAN, Jal Jeevan Mission, and National Health Mission. He noted the positive impact on farmers, rural households, and healthcare services due to initiatives like PM-KISAN, tap water connections, Ayushman Bharat, and establishment of medical facilities.
The BJP President praised the Modi government for its focus on delivering tangible outcomes such as enhanced infrastructure, healthcare facilities, welfare programs, employment opportunities, and improved connectivity. He described the past 12 years as a period of significant development, good governance, and nation-building for Punjab and the nation.
