Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar cautioned the ruling AAP government in Punjab against resorting to illegal methods to secure victory in the upcoming local body elections. He criticized AAP MLAs and leaders for suggesting tactics like closing polling booths and capturing them, which he viewed as signs of the government’s desperation and acceptance of impending defeat. Jakhar accused the current government of mismanagement, corruption, and escalating social issues, emphasizing the need for development instead of accumulating debt.
Jakhar expressed confidence that the public’s support was shifting towards the BJP for the next government in Punjab. He urged voters to reject parties that engage in vote-cutting strategies and unite behind the BJP for the state’s progress. Additionally, he warned AAP leaders against undemocratic actions, asserting that the people of Punjab would not tolerate such behavior.
Highlighting the challenges faced under the current administration, Jakhar indicated a growing preference for security, peace, and communal harmony among the populace, leading them towards the BJP. He criticized the Congress for being reduced to a vote-cutting entity and accused its leaders of neglecting public interests in favor of aligning with AAP.
