Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar cautioned AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal about disturbing Punjab’s peace, vowing to prevent the state from becoming like Mamata Banerjee’s Bengal. Jakhar criticized AAP MLA Sukhwinder Sukhi for allegedly assaulting a BJP district president during a protest in Balachaur, urging Punjab Police to take swift action against such behavior. He emphasized the need for politics to be conducted with dignity and decorum, condemning AAP’s support for individuals accused of corruption.
Jakhar highlighted that the BJP will continue its efforts against corruption in Punjab, warning that those involved in looting the state will face consequences. He called for immediate and strict police action against the reported hooliganism by AAP members, stating that such behavior will not be tolerated. Alleging that AAP is being exposed for corruption, Jakhar accused Kejriwal of allowing his MLAs to engage in hooliganism, a move the BJP will resist.
