Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann revealed plans for the state’s fifth Budget in March, emphasizing its focus on benefiting all sections of society. He highlighted the government’s commitment to pro-people policies that have positively impacted Punjab’s development trajectory.
CM Mann criticized the Union Government for its budgetary approach, stating that it has favored the affluent while neglecting the common man. He expressed concerns over the challenges faced by the public in Gujarat and criticized the lack of opposition in the state, leading to the suppression of citizens’ voices.
Addressing the issue of state financial rights, CM Mann raised concerns about Punjab’s share in the Rural Development Fund being withheld undemocratically by the Centre. He emphasized the importance of upholding democracy by ensuring that every voice, including those of the opposition, is heard and respected.
