Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann initiated the eighth batch of 30 government school principals for training at the Principal Academy in Singapore. The Chief Minister expressed strong opposition to the Electricity (Amendment) Bill of 2025 and criticized various political entities including the BJP-led Centre, Congress, and Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal. He highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering every child in Punjab with a world-class education system. CM Mann reiterated the significance of continuous training to equip educators with modern teaching methods.
CM Mann announced the departure of the latest batch of 30 principals for training at the Principal Academy in Singapore from March 8 to 14. This initiative, which has already sent 234 principals and education officers for training, focuses on exposing school heads to international teaching practices. The program includes a transparent selection process and aims to enhance the quality of education in Punjab by implementing global standards.
