Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called on citizens to commit to constructing an educated and healthy India, emphasizing that true Republic Day spirit is achieved when every individual experiences equality. Mann highlighted that in Punjab, quality education and top-notch healthcare are not luxuries for a select few but basic rights for all residents. He stressed that the cornerstone of a robust nation lies in health and education, urging everyone to unite in fostering a knowledgeable and fit India.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs acknowledged the exceptional contributions of Punjab Police by announcing the recipients of the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service. Notable officers like Additional Director General of Police Vibhu Raj, Director Bureau of Investigation L.K. Yadav, and ADGP Arun Pal Singh were honored with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. Additionally, officers including DIG Raj Bhawan Jasdev Singh Sidhu, AIG Randeep Singh Mann, and others were among the 15 recipients of the Medal for Meritorious Service.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav commended the awardees and expressed gratitude to both the Central and state governments for acknowledging the officers’ services, which significantly boosts the morale of the entire police force. He emphasized that such recognition plays a vital role in motivating the police to work diligently, especially in a border state facing numerous security challenges.
