Congress’s Punjab unit President, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for not taking action after recent explosions in Jalandhar and Amritsar. Warring expressed concern over the lack of response despite alleged knowledge of the perpetrators. He highlighted multiple blasts in the state, questioning the authorities’ dismissal of incidents as minor.
CM Mann attributed the blasts to BJP’s election strategies, suggesting a pattern of incitement before polls. Warring raised doubts about the government’s inaction, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation into the incidents. He criticized the CM for solely issuing statements without concrete steps.
Warring called for accountability, questioning why CM Mann, also holding the Home portfolio, refrained from proactive measures. He accused both the Punjab and Union Home Ministers of involvement in the situation. Meanwhile, AAP leader Anurag Dhanda supported Mann’s claims against the BJP, alleging a deliberate attempt to disrupt peace in Punjab.
