Samir Zeljković, Effiong Nsungusi Jr, and Bede Osuji each scored a goal as Punjab FC secured a 3-0 victory over Inter Kashi in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Zeljković, Nsungusi Jr, and Osuji found the net in the 37th, 51st, and 72nd minutes respectively, leading Punjab to claim three crucial points, elevating them to 14 points from eight matches and solidifying their seventh position in the league standings. Meanwhile, Inter Kashi remains in eighth place with 11 points from nine matches. Zeljković was honored as the Player of the Match for his performance.
Punjab FC displayed dominance from the start, with Bede Osuji playing a pivotal role in their attacking strategies. Osuji’s clever plays set up Dani Ramírez twice in the early minutes, but Inter Kashi’s goalkeeper, Lluis Tarrés, thwarted the attempts. The hosts maintained possession control, with Manglenthang Kipgen orchestrating the midfield, while Effiong Nsungusi Jr and Osuji posed continuous threats to Inter Kashi’s defense. In the 37th minute, Punjab broke the deadlock with a well-executed sequence of play. Inter Kashi attempted a response before halftime, but Punjab’s goalkeeper, Arshdeep Singh, maintained composure to preserve the lead.
Punjab extended their advantage in the 51st minute through Nsungusi Jr, who capitalized on a midfield error to score the second goal. The hosts continued their high-intensity performance, limiting Inter Kashi’s chances and showcasing a solid defensive display. A third goal came in the 72nd minute when Osuji netted a powerful strike, securing Punjab’s convincing 3-0 win.
