Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema criticized the BJP’s reception in Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s public meeting in Dhuri, stating that the poor response indicated the party’s rejection by Punjabis. Cheema highlighted that the empty chairs at the rally reflected the lack of support for the BJP in Punjab, emphasizing that the people have made it clear that the party is not welcomed in the state. He mentioned that the BJP’s divisive politics and policies against farmers and ordinary citizens have been consistently opposed by the people of Punjab.
Cheema further pointed out the BJP’s role in the farmers’ protests, stating that the party’s actions led to the sacrifice of over 750 farmers in Punjab during the agitation against the three contentious farm laws. He emphasized that the people of Punjab will not forget the sacrifices made by the farmers and hold the BJP accountable for the injustices committed against them. Cheema criticized the BJP for its anti-farmer and anti-Punjab stance, accusing the party of attempting to exploit Punjab’s resources and rights while damaging the state’s economy with unfavorable policies.
