Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided to change the working hours of all Punjab government offices, schools, and colleges to provide relief during the heatwave. The new timings will be from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., starting on May 25 until further notice. This adjustment aims to help people complete their work early in the morning and avoid the scorching heat of the day.

The decision was made after consultations with stakeholders to ensure the welfare of everyone. Chief Minister Mann emphasized that this change will benefit both the public and government employees. Employees will have more time with their families, and the new schedule is expected to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours.

The revised timings will apply to all government offices, schools, and colleges in Punjab. This move aligns with the government’s commitment to improving citizens’ daily lives and prioritizing public convenience. Chief Minister Mann reaffirmed the government’s dedication to safeguarding public welfare and ensuring the wellbeing of all residents.
