Punjab Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema revealed a plot to tarnish Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s image. He presented findings from two government-recognized labs proving that the person in a viral video is not CM Mann. Cheema and AAP spokesperson Baltej Pannu accused anti-Punjab elements of orchestrating the conspiracy due to the government’s recent actions.
Cheema emphasized that those behind the fake video would be identified and face legal consequences. He highlighted the video’s role in a larger political scheme to discredit a dedicated Chief Minister. The forensic analysis, involving 1,191 video frames, clearly showed discrepancies between the individual in the video and CM Mann.
The investigation revealed significant differences in height, body structure, and facial features between the person in the video and the Chief Minister. Cheema criticized the Akali Dal for exploiting religious sentiments for political gains. He referenced past incidents where religious sanctity was compromised under previous governments.
