Punjab Royals will kick off the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) against UP Dominators on January 15, marking the beginning of the highly anticipated fifth season. The league, scheduled from January 15 to February 1 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, will witness six franchises competing in a league and knockout format.
The PWL 2026 season will see teams like Delhi Dangal Warriors, Haryana Thunders, Tiigers of Mumbai Dangal, Maharashtra Kesari, Punjab Royals, and UP Dominators battling it out. A total of 15 league-stage matches will be played across 13 matchdays, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals on January 30 and 31, leading up to the final on February 1.
The league will feature back-to-back double-header matchdays on January 16 and 17, with each tie showcasing nine bouts across weight categories. The season will highlight a mix of Olympic medallists, world champions, emerging Indian talents, and international wrestlers signed during the PWL 2026 auctions.
Season 5 of PWL will witness elite talent in action, with notable signings like Yui Susaki, the Olympic champion, and Robert Baran, a world championship bronze medallist. Indian stars like Antim Panghal, Sujeet Kalkal, and Aman Sehrawat will also play crucial roles for their respective teams, adding excitement to the upcoming season.
