Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has urged students and young job seekers to support the Congress party’s “Chhatron ki Goonj” national agitation, commencing from Kota, Rajasthan, on June 17. Gandhi empathized with the frustrations of students over paper leaks, exam cancellations, and recruitment issues, encouraging them to raise their voices against the government’s indifference.
The Congress-led agitation aims to address concerns impacting India’s youth, such as paper leaks, exam irregularities, unemployment, and recruitment challenges. Gandhi will kick off the campaign in Kota on June 17 by engaging directly with students and exam aspirants, emphasizing the importance of their participation in shaping their future.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal announced that Rahul Gandhi will lead student conventions in various cities nationwide, starting from Kota and extending to Allahabad on July 10, Patna on July 11, and Delhi on July 14. The Congress alleges that persistent exam paper leaks, recruitment irregularities, and escalating unemployment are threatening the prospects of millions of young Indians.
The party’s campaign seeks to mobilize students, job seekers, educators, and youth groups to amplify these concerns at a national level. Under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, the initiative aims to spotlight challenges like exam paper leaks, rising exam costs, recruitment discrepancies, and the need for a transparent education and hiring system. The Congress has strategically chosen Kota, a prominent coaching hub, as the launch site for this movement, emphasizing the significance of youth empowerment and advocacy.
