Congress leader Rahul Gandhi commended the effective coordination between Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully. He praised their teamwork as a model for other states during a welcome event at Kishangarh Airport in Ajmer. Rahul Gandhi arrived in Rajasthan to participate in the final session of the Congress party’s 10-day national Chintan Shivir in Pushkar.
At the gathering, Rahul Gandhi engaged with party officials, including 50 district presidents from Rajasthan and 15 from Delhi. He also met with family members of the 65 district presidents at the Wild Rose Resort in Pushkar, emphasizing the party’s values of policy, principles, and commitment.
During the event, Bikaner City Congress President Madan Gopal highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s emphasis on the importance of dedication and service within the party. Rahul Gandhi underscored the Congress’s focus on ‘Tapasya’ (dedication and sacrifice) rather than power-driven politics, urging continued efforts towards public service. He mentioned that those excelling in their work would be rewarded, while others would face a different path.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Rajasthan included a warm welcome at Kishangarh Airport by prominent leaders like former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and State In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. He was presented with a traditional plough by Kishangarh MLA Vikas Chaudhary before heading to Pushkar. While Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was scheduled to attend the Chintan Shivir, his visit was canceled.
Despite heavy rain in Pushkar, Congress supporters eagerly awaited Rahul Gandhi outside the resort with posters. Following the conclusion of the Chintan Shivir and interactions with Seva Dal workers, Rahul Gandhi departed from Pushkar for Kishangarh Airport. Party workers emphasized his call for unity among district presidents to work selflessly for the party’s cause.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, speaking after the session, highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen district presidents’ roles within the party as part of Rahul Gandhi’s vision.
