Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is reportedly planning to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The BJP has criticized Gandhi, suggesting that his visit may be for photo opportunities and political gain rather than genuine devotion.
Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao condemned Gandhi, accusing him of displaying a distorted mentality and hatred towards Lord Ram. He emphasized the deep devotion followers of Sanatan Dharma have for Lord Ram, stating that the deity resides not only in India but worldwide.
Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal also took a dig at Gandhi, insinuating that fake devotees engage in political gimmicks by visiting temples. BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha questioned Gandhi’s priorities, highlighting his delay in visiting Ayodhya despite its proximity to his constituency.
BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla remarked on Gandhi’s change in stance towards Lord Ram, urging him to apologize for past statements. Meanwhile, Congress leader T.S. Singh Deo expressed reservations about visiting the Ram Temple, citing the controversy surrounding the site.
