Bollywood actress Raima Sen honored her legendary grandmother, Suchitra Sen, on what would have been her 95th birthday. Recreating a vintage look reminiscent of Suchitra Sen’s early Bollywood days, Raima shared a black and white photo on social media. The post was captioned, “In loving memory of my Amma.”
Earlier, actor Jackie Shroff also paid homage to Suchitra Sen by posting a beautiful portrait of the late actress on social media. Alongside the picture, he wrote, ‘Remembering Suchitra Sen on her birth anniversary,’ and played the song Rahe Na Rahe Hum from Suchitra Sen’s film Mamta in the background.
Suchitra Sen, a prominent figure in Bollywood from the 1950s to the 1970s, was the mother of actress Moonmoon Sen and the grandmother of Raima Sen and Rimi Sen. She passed away on January 17, 2014. Moonmoon Sen, like her mother, has had a successful career in Indian cinema, appearing in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films.
Raima Sen, who has been part of Bollywood for nearly two decades, has starred in films such as “Parineeta,” “Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.,” and “The Japanese Wife.”
