Filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli has commended Priyanka Chopra Jonas for her ability to effortlessly portray vulnerability and strength on screen. Rajamouli, known for his upcoming film Varanasi, took to social media to laud Priyanka’s talent. He highlighted her versatility, stating she can transition from vulnerability to fierceness seamlessly.
Rajamouli’s Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, revolves around the story of Rudhra amidst the threat of an asteroid approaching the city. The film, shot extensively in Hyderabad, Odisha, and Kenya with a budget of Rs. 1,000–1,300 crore, is set to be one of India’s most expensive productions.
Scheduled for an April 2027 release, Varanasi is a globetrotting adventure rooted in Indian cultural themes, exploring various timelines and continents. Priyanka, a recipient of two National Film Awards and a Padma Shri, is also set to star in “Krrish 4,” directed by Hrithik Roshan.
Priyanka, who made her acting debut in 2002, has garnered acclaim for her roles in films like Fashion, Kaminey, Mary Kom, and Bajirao Mastani. Her filmography includes successful franchises like Krrish and Don, showcasing her range as an actor.
