The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended two patwaris from the Land Settlement Department in Bharatpur for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 30,000. The accused, Pradeep Singh and Digambar Singh, were reported to have demanded Rs 50,000 from a complainant to demarcate already measured agricultural land, leading to their arrest.
Following a complaint, the ACB in Bharatpur, under the supervision of officials, conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of the two patwaris. The accused were caught red-handed accepting Rs 30,000 as part of the bribe they had demanded. The ACB is pursuing further investigations under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The ACB urged the public to assist in combating corruption by reporting any instances of bribery through their toll-free helpline. In a separate incident on July 7, the ACB’s Churu unit arrested two individuals from the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
