The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau’s Special Investigation Team conducted raids at various locations and arrested nine individuals linked to a multi-crore corruption case involving the Jal Jeevan Mission. The arrests included officials like Chief Engineers, a Financial Advisor, and an Executive Engineer, among others.
The ACB’s probe revealed alleged irregularities where companies forged completion certificates in the name of IRCON International Limited. Senior officials from the Public Health Engineering Department were accused of securing tenders worth around Rs 960 crore through fake certificates, violating tender norms, and manipulating processes.
The actions of these officials reportedly led to significant financial losses running into thousands of crores of rupees. An SIT, headed by Rajasthan ACB’s Superintendent of Police, was formed for a thorough investigation, which resulted in detailed evidence analysis and subsequent arrests.
