In a significant crackdown on organized crime and illegal arms networks, the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad apprehended Anil Kumar, known as Monty, and found seven live cartridges at his residence. Anil Kumar was reportedly in contact with fugitive gangster Sunil Kumar Meena, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The operation was overseen by Additional Director General of Police Dinesh M.N. and Inspector General of Police Rajesh Singh.
A team led by Superintendent of Police Gyanchand Yadav, acting on intelligence inputs, targeted Anil Kumar Jat alias Monty for his alleged involvement in arms trafficking and gang-related activities. Anil Kumar, residing in Bansa Kushalpura village in Jaipur Rural, was suspected of long-standing connections with Sunil Meena, who is currently evading authorities abroad. Investigators believe Sunil Meena has ties to foreign criminal networks, possibly operating from Pakistan.
Following collaborative intelligence efforts, the Anti-Terrorism Squad detained Anil Kumar for questioning, where he revealed the presence of hidden live cartridges in his house. Subsequently, a joint operation with Jaipur Rural Police led to the discovery and seizure of seven live cartridges concealed in the staircase structure of the residence. Anil Kumar Jat alias Monty faces charges under the Arms Act, with ongoing investigations delving into his alleged gang affiliations and illicit arms sources.
Authorities are actively investigating the suspected criminal connections of Anil Kumar, focusing on illegal arms origins and potential broader criminal networks.
