The Budget Session of the Rajasthan Assembly turned chaotic as discussions on cattle matters led to sharp accusations and heated exchanges between ruling and opposition MLAs. The controversy ignited when the opposition highlighted a calf’s severed head near the Hingonia cow shelter in Jaipur. Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully criticized the government for alleged law and order failures and accused a ruling party MLA of protecting the accused.

The situation escalated as BJP and Congress members faced off in the House over the issue. The uproar began with Hawamahal MLA Balmukundacharya questioning the government about granting the cow the status of ‘state animal’ in Rajasthan. Animal Husbandry Minister Zoraram Kumawat clarified that there was no such proposal under consideration, sparking further tension in the assembly.

Amidst the chaos, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully claimed that a BJP legislator was shielding the accused, leading to a heated exchange. The confrontation intensified as members from both sides engaged in loud sloganeering, with tensions rising further as physical movements were reported between the benches. The incident marked a turbulent moment in the ongoing Budget Session, with accusations of politicizing cow protection and a lack of safety measures in the state capital.
