Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma joyously celebrated Holi with the public at his residence. Thousands of people from all over the state gathered to mark the festival with flowers and natural colors. Sharma and his wife warmly welcomed the attendees, applying gulal and showering flower petals on the crowd.
On the festive occasion of Holi, Rajasthan’s diverse cultural traditions were showcased under one roof. Various styles of Holi celebrations, including the vibrant Braj style and Shekhawati’s traditional festivities, were highlighted. Artists from Bharatiya Kala Sansthan and a bhajan troupe from Braj mesmerized the audience with devotional songs and dance performances.
The Go Vatsa Phag troupe from Fatehpur in Shekhawati captivated the audience with traditional Chang performances. The Chief Minister actively participated in Phalgun folk songs alongside the artists, immersing in the festive atmosphere. People of all ages, including children, elderly citizens, women, and youth, enthusiastically joined in the celebrations.
Some attendees adorned the Chief Minister with colorful turbans and dupattas while applying gulal, while others gifted him handmade water guns and gulal gota. Extending warm wishes to the state’s people, the Chief Minister emphasized that Holi is a time to set aside differences and embrace harmony and joy. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, along with other dignitaries and a large number of citizens from various parts of the state, also participated in the celebrations.
