Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma praised the significance of Army Day, highlighting its representation of India’s rich history, honor, and national pride. He lauded the Indian Army for its exceptional courage, discipline, sacrifices, and patriotism. The Chief Minister announced that Jaipur will host the 78th Army Day Parade in 2026, marking the first time the event will be held outside a military cantonment to involve the general public. This move aims to foster stronger bonds and mutual respect between the army and citizens. The upcoming parade will showcase impressive fly-past formations, troop marches, drone technology demonstrations, and modern warfare capabilities. Additionally, the event will feature various activities such as honoring martyrs’ families, showcasing traditional martial arts, and presenting a Light and Sound Show on ‘Operation Sindoor’. A special 1000-drone show and the ‘Know Your Army Exhibition’ from January 8 to 12, 2026, will offer the public a closer look at the Indian Army’s modern weaponry and defense technologies. The Chief Minister highlighted the Indian Army’s history of bravery and resilience in facing challenges, from past wars to recent military operations, emphasizing its role in maintaining peace, stability, and national unity. Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander of Sapta Shakti Command, praised the army’s unwavering courage in safeguarding the nation’s borders and ensuring internal security. The Chief Minister also honored and felicitated several army personnel and screened a short film on the upcoming Army Day Parade 2026, with the presence of senior army officers, officials, ex-servicemen, widows of martyrs, NCC cadets, and distinguished guests.
