Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted the crucial role of farmers in India’s progress, stating that empowering farmers leads to advancement at all levels. The state government, under his leadership, is dedicated to fulfilling manifesto promises and ensuring the well-being of farmers. To support this commitment, Gram Utthan Camps will be organized in every Girdawar circle across Rajasthan starting January 23, coinciding with Basant Panchami.
CM Sharma, during a program in Sirohi, announced the launch of Gram Utthan Camps and the transfer of Kisan Samman Nidhi. He mentioned significant events from two years ago, such as the consecration of Ramlala in Ayodhya and the launch of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The state government’s focus remains on the welfare of various sections of society, including farmers, with the aim of ensuring that government schemes effectively reach the grassroots level.
The government is actively working to facilitate welfare schemes for farmers through Gram Utthan Camps, where approvals for various initiatives like irrigation systems, fencing, and farm ponds will be granted. Additionally, applications under the Chief Minister Kisan Sathi Sahayata Yojana will be processed, along with services related to animal welfare and agricultural infrastructure. Chief Minister Sharma also oversaw the direct transfer of funds amounting to over Rs 1,590 crore to farmers, women, and laborers across the state, supporting various schemes and compensations.
Under the state government’s initiatives, farmers have received significant financial support, including additional assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Various forms of aid, such as crop damage compensation, livestock support, and subsidies, have been provided to enhance the economic well-being of farmers. The government’s efforts extend to promoting energy self-reliance and providing welfare measures for livestock rearers, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to agricultural and rural development.
Minister of State for Cooperatives Gautam Kumar Dak praised the financial support provided to farmers by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. The focus remains on strengthening farmers’ financial stability and ensuring reliable electricity supply during daytime hours. Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Ota Ram Dewasi acknowledged the state government’s development initiatives in the Sirohi district, reflecting a commitment to overall progress and welfare.
