Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted the strong values of self-respect and patriotism among Rajasthanis, noting their significant contributions to society wherever they go. Speaking at the ‘Rajasthan Pravasi Sammelan’ in Kolkata, he praised the community’s dedication to both their work and birthplace, enhancing Rajasthan’s reputation globally. Sharma also mentioned the Rajasthan Foundation’s efforts to strengthen ties with the Rajasthani diaspora through its numerous chapters.

Sharma’s visit to Kolkata included seeking blessings at the Kalighat Temple and interacting with devotees at the Govindam International Society for Krishna Consciousness Temple. He expressed confidence in an upcoming political change in West Bengal, urging support for the Bharatiya Janata Party to drive development similar to Rajasthan’s progress. The Chief Minister emphasized the potential of Rajasthan in various sectors like industry, energy, tourism, and social welfare, highlighting its mineral wealth and tourist attractions.

Underlining the state’s commitment to heritage preservation and development, Sharma mentioned the conservation of historical havelis in the Shekhawati region. He also discussed ongoing development initiatives in agriculture, electricity, and water supply, aiming to provide reliable services to all districts. Additionally, he pointed out the employment opportunities generated by the “Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit.”
