Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving the state’s progress. Speaking at the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 in Jaipur, he noted AI’s role in enhancing e-governance, digital inclusion, and citizen-centric services. Sharma highlighted AI’s transformative impact on sectors like healthcare, education, agriculture, and governance, aiming to contribute to India and Rajasthan’s development vision.
AI policies are being introduced to ensure transparent, unbiased, and privacy-conscious systems, Sharma stated. He announced the establishment of an AI Centre of Excellence, initiatives to combat AI-related cybercrime, and the promotion of AI education in various educational institutions. Additionally, special incentives will be provided to entities working in the AI domain, fostering innovation and growth in the sector.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted collaborative efforts to promote electronics manufacturing in Rajasthan, including skill development programs for youth. Plans for a data center and railway connectivity improvements were also announced. The Rajasthan Digifest was praised as a platform connecting startups, investors, and industries, facilitating innovation and employment opportunities.
India’s progress in AI technologies was commended, positioning the country among the top global leaders in the field. Efforts to democratize technology and ensure AI benefits reach all segments of society were underscored. Rajasthan’s initiatives in AI training, electronics manufacturing, and technological innovation were lauded, with confidence expressed in the state’s potential as a major hub for technological advancement.
