Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced plans to develop every village and ward in the state by 2047. These plans will be inclusive, incorporating inputs from various sections of society like women, youth, farmers, and economically weaker groups to align with people’s aspirations. The objective is to address the needs of the growing population through short-term, medium-term, and long-term master plans.
In a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sharma emphasized the importance of planned development in rural areas to curb migration and urban pressure. The master plans will prioritize basic facilities such as education, healthcare, electricity, water supply, roads, and sanitation based on evidence. Additionally, they will consider the traditions, crafts, and historical significance of rural areas while focusing on preserving heritage and enhancing social and cultural environments.
The plans aim to create employment opportunities locally and improve livelihood options for villagers. They will be approved through Gram Sabhas, following which concerned departments will formulate effective policies and development strategies. Special attention will be given to enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting self-employment, and ensuring eligible beneficiaries’ inclusion in government welfare schemes.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and other senior officials were present at the meeting to discuss the implementation of these master plans.
