Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, announced the upcoming launch of the ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign’ on May 25 during Ganga Dussehra. The campaign aims to focus on water conservation and rainwater harvesting in rural areas to combat water scarcity and enhance groundwater levels in the state.
Chief Minister Sharma, after staying overnight in Dhambola village of Dungarpur district, engaged with local residents during a morning tour of the village. He emphasized the significance of public involvement in effective rainwater management and the preservation of ponds to address water scarcity issues in villages.
During his visit, Chief Minister Sharma interacted with villagers, showing a humble and friendly demeanor. He took time to listen to public grievances, suggestions, and feedback on government welfare schemes, highlighting the importance of social bonding and mutual support in rural communities.
The State Government plans to establish ‘Atal Gyan Kendras’ in all Panchayats to provide educational resources to rural youth, reducing their financial burden and aiding in their preparation for competitive exams within their villages. Additionally, the government will prioritize enhancing basic amenities in villages through phased developmental initiatives.
